HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Police detectives are investigating an unarmed robbery which occurred at the Check N Go, 1111 Washington Ave. at 6 p.m. Aug. 20, 2020.
The clerk told police a man entered the store as it was closing, demanding cash.
No other customers were in the business at the time. After the clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash the suspect fled on foot to the east, according to Holland Police Capt. Bob Buursma.
Investigators learned that residents on Standish Court, just east of the business, had seen someone matching the suspect’s description running through the area, then jumping into a maroon or burgundy sedan.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, thin build and average height, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath, a black mask, sunglasses and grey pants.
No weapon was seen or implied, police said. No one was physically hurt during the incident.
