The Holland Museum is hosting two exciting events coming up this month.
Connie Locker, Education & Outreach Manager for the Museum, says that they are bringing back Lunch at the Museum next week after a brief summer hiatus. On Wednesday, August 16 at noon, bring your lunch to the Holland Museum to learn about the upcoming August 21 solar eclipse from the Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association.
Locker says that they have worked with the S-triple A many times before, most recently during their “Museum Under the Stars” event at Holland State Park. “This year they are returning to focus on the solar eclipse and what to expect to see, how to best see it, and also how to safely view the solar eclipse.”
At the end of this month, The Holland Museum will hold a Vintage Boat show on 10th Street in Downtown Holland. Locker says that they’ve got some interesting boats to showcase, including a prototype boat from the 1940s.
The Museum still has open slots for vintage boats in their show. Call 616-796-3329 to learn more information.
The vintage boat show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 26.
