ROBINSON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A West Olive couple was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday evening that hospitalized five persons involved.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jay Douglas, 21-year-old Sierra Parker of Ravenna had stopped her eastbound vehicle on Lincoln Street at M-231 around 5:30 PM, with 27-year-old Paul Morman of Ravenna sitting beside her and two unnamed children, aged 10 and 2, in the back seat. As she pulled out to make a left turn onto the highway, she apparently didn’t see the southbound SUV of 38-year-old Daniel Borgman bearing down, causing a collision.
Parker and the two children in her vehicle, along with Borgman’s 38-year-old wife Sara, who was a front seat passenger in his SUV, were all taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and observation; Morman and Mr. Borgman were not hurt. Parker was ticketed for failing to yield right of way as the crash remains under investigation.
