HOLLAND, MI – “What the Heck Happened to America and What Can We Do About it?”
That’s the title of the second of two meetings this month by the Ottawa County Patriots. This evening, from 7 to 9 PM at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Holland (501 E 24th Street), a panel of five speakers – Pastors Austin Kreutz and Phil Smith, along with radio commentators Mike Hewitt and Denny Gillem, and retired police officer Mike Woronko – will go over the topics of police defunding, along with racism and violence.
OCP President Steve Redmond, when asked if the current civil unrest can be compared to what happened in America during the 1960’s, said on “WHTC Talk of the Town” during a Monday appearance, “In the 60’s, after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., there were riots all over the country. What we’re seeing here is somewhat different. It’s much more organized, and it often has very little to do with civil rights.”
Earlier this month, the OCP looked at the COVID 19 outbreak and its ramifications. The group’s meetings are free and open to the public.
