HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Tulip Time Festival is seeking local nonprofits to participate in Tulip Time and to provide opportunities for engagement with the Festival’s audience
For the 2017 Tulip Time Festival, the Holland Young Professionals proposed “Tulips & Juleps” a tulip-themed Kentucky Derby Fundraising event. Since the Kentucky Derby and Tulip Time dates align each year, both were celebrated with a tulip-themed Derby fundraiser.
Tulips & Juleps provided a new event experience to over 200 guests raising $8,700 in funds to be shared among the two organizations. Because of this event’s success, the Holland Young Professionals and Tulip Time will offer Tulips and Juleps annually as part of Festival programming. This allows for other local nonprofits to apply to the Charity Partner Program.
Nicole Paquette, former President of Holland Young Professionals, expressed her satisfaction for the Charity Partner event, stating, “Partnering with the Tulip Time Festival was a true joy for our Holland Young Professionals Board of Directors. Their staff is top-notch and helped think through every detail of our joint fundraising event. We were thrilled to help get more of our next generation leaders involved with the festival while raising funds for both Tulip Time and our HYP Endowment Fund.”
The Charity Partner Program application is now available here. The deadline to apply is September 30, 2017. Please direct questions to Hannah Rogers, Business Development Manager, at 616.396.4221 x112 or via email. .
The Tulip Time Festival will be held May 5 – 13, 2018. A Festival Preview offering highlights of the 2018 program will be available in November. Previews can be viewed online or request a copy at www.tuliptime.com/join.
