HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Holland residents will be able to stay connected wirelessly at even more places around town, thanks to new WiFi outdoor hotspots being installed by Comcast.
72 new Xfinity WiFi hotspots will be available in areas all around Holland. Eighth Street Market Place, Centennial Park and over 50 other places in the downtown area will receive free WiFi.
Michelle Gilbert, a spokesperson for Comcast, says that the more people utilize these new hotspots, the more money they will save on their data plans. “This is the real value that we can offer our customers so that they don’t have to spend unnecessary amounts of money on their wireless data plan and they can use their data how they want to.”
Residents can tap into any of the hotspots by selecting xfinitywifi from the list of available networks from their laptop or smartphone settings. From there, customers can type in their Comcast email and password to gain access. Non-customers can also use the hotspots by setting up an account on either Comcast website at wifi.xfinity.com or by downloading their mobile app.
