HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A third person has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on Sunday, September 11, outside the Hookah Lounge in off Butternut Drive in Holland Township.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Captain Mark Bennett says Demetrius William Viney Jr. has been charged with possession of a firearm and a habitual offender in the third notice. Bennett says earlier last week detectives learned that Viney was involved with this scene and on Wednesday, September 14, Viney was located and arrested in Grand Rapids on these felony charges.
The Sheriff’s Office Detectives believe Viney was in possession of a firearm during the homicide of Anthony Lamb, 22, of Muskegon. Viney has not been charged with a homicide at this point and has an extensive criminal record. Detectives continue to investigate the facts surrounding the homicide. Two others were arrested last week in connection with the homicide, Adam Young, 27 of Fennville and an unnamed 28-year-old man.
When police they arrived around 3:15 AM at the Hookah Lounge on Sunday, September 11, they found Anthony Lamb mortally wounded, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
