HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Two persons have been arrested in the wake of a Sunday morning homicide on Holland’s North Side.
A 27-year-old Fennville man, Adam Young, was arrested following a crash about four hours after the incident in which 22-year-old Anthony Lamb of Muskegon was shot to death in the parking lot of the Hookah Lounge off of Butternut Drive. Deputies determined that Young was at the scene at the time of the shooting and had allegedly lied to detectives at that time. Young was arraigned on Monday in Holland District Court on various charges stemming from the incident as well as unrelated counts and remains in the Ottawa County Jail on 10 thousand dollars bond.
In addition, an unnamed 28-year-old man who may have also been involved in the shooting was admitted on Sunday to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment of a gunshot wound to the lower leg that came at that incident. He was questioned, subsequently arrested and taken to the Kent County Jail on unrelated, outstanding charges.
An autopsy conducted on Lamb at Spectrum-Blodgett Hospital on Monday revealed that he died of a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. Detectives have also determined that there were multiple shots fired at the time of his death, and that two separate weapons were involved.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett said that a motive for Lamb’s death has yet to be determined, and that several witnesses, some cooperative and some not, have been questioned. Tips to the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer are still welcome.
