LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 3, 2026) – Two Lakeshore manufacturers are sharing in a $21 million grant aimed at helping auto suppliers meet future vehicle needs, while keeping the domestic auto supply chain strong.
Holland’s Metal Flow Coproration, along with Primera Plastics in Zeeland, are among 11 small- and medium-sized auto suppliers sharing in the Michigan Supplier Conversion Grant program, announced on Wednesday by the state Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. The money will go towards purchasing new equipment or make upgrades, expand facilities, and align workforce initiatives designed to meet evolving industry standards.
The money the state is allocating for this program comes from $22.6 million from the US Department of Energy’s Domestic Automotive Manufacturing Conversion Grant Program.
