GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 5, 2024) – One of the three Michigan Secretary of State offices in Ottawa County will be shuttered for a little while in September.
SOS Jocelyn Benson announced on Thursday that the office at 1110 Robbins Road off of 172nd Avenue, just south of the Grand Haven city limits, will close this coming Monday, Sept. 9th, for a scheduled remodeling. The two-week-long effort includes painting, counter reconstruction, and electrical updates, with a targeted completion date of Sept. 23rd.
The Secretary of State is recommending area customers to go online for many common transactions, with a self-serve kiosk at the Meijer store (15000 US-31) about a mile away. The offices in Muskegon (1485 E Apple Ave.), Holland (587 E. 8th St.) and Hudsonville (5211 Cherry Ave.) will remain open.
