Scott Edward Margetson, age 58 of Holland, Michigan was called home to heaven unexpectedly after a short illness which he fought to the last breath with his family by his side Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Scott was a loving and devoted son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandpa (Papa) and friend. He cherished his family, especially his four beautiful granddaughters, and friends. He was a friend to many. Scott was adopted as an infant, he battled and survived childhood cancer between the ages of 7-9. He graduated from West Ottawa High School in 1983. He had many hobbies including training and raising dogs, fishing, hunting, cleaning his gun collection, reloading ammo, shooting off fireworks, working on cars, riding roller coasters, spending endless hours with his granddaughters, helping his kids, friends and family with many different projects, painting houses and hanging out with his buddies. He was a ‘good ole’ boy. His laughter and big smile filled the room. He had a great sense of humor. He was quite a character. He had a special quietness about him that was endearing to all. Scott worked for Haworth for 10 years and other various jobs as his health would permit. He is greatly missed but we are comforted knowing he is no longer in pain and is at peace with Jesus. He is reunited with his earthly father and one day we will all be together again with him in heaven.
Scott was preceded in death by: his father, Ronald Margetson, step father, Larry Pete and Chubbie, pet Rottweiler.
Scott will lovingly be remembered by: his children, Kevin Margetson and Ashley (Hunter) Margetson; granddaughters, Zoey, Violet, Skarlette and Iris Margetson.
