David W. Reidel, age 85, of Holland, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.
David was a loving father and grandfather, and a strong fighter for his wife up until the very end. He was a people person and loved to get to know others. He cared about people and was very intentional not to miss the small details of their lives. David was an accomplished member of the Lions Club and worked in the optical industry his whole life. He had a passion for vegetable gardening and would always share what he had grown with family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years., Vivian; his son, Jeffery Reidel; and his brothers: Maynard Reidel, Delbert (Mary) Reidel, Holland (Charlotte) Reidel.
He is survived by his daughters: Pamela (Dwayne) Becksford, Rebecca Panks, Amy Dunlop; grandchildren: Brendon (Jessica) Ray, Samantha (Paul) Kaiser, Amanda (Daniel) Wright, Cristina Panks (Ryan Maloney), Savanah (Deshawn) Civil, Robert (Jennifer) Reidel, Kaitlan (Jesse) Grant; 25 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 994 Paw Paw Drive, Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The family is being served by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home.
