Five from the Hope College women’s soccer team claimed All-MIAA honors for the 2023 season, including three who received first-team distinction and one who made history as a four-time first-team selection.
Senior Jenna Mustapha, junior Carley Wagasky and sophomore Ainsley Harris all made the first team.
Senior Madison Holloway and freshman Clara Feenstra are second-team honorees.
Mustapha (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Northern HS) is Hope’s second four-time All-MIAA selection and the first to achieve first-team honors four times. Courtney Cook ’11 earned All-MIAA honors four times, three times as a first-team and once as a second-teamer.
The defender and chemistry major helped the Flying Dutch tie for second place with a 0.75 goals-against average in eight MIAA matches.
Mustapha also contributed three assists during league play.
Harris (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian) and Wagasky (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) all shined during their first seasons with the Flying Dutch.
Harris recorded a team-best four assists and scored once against MIAA opponents. She tied for second among MIAA players in assists during league games.
Wagasky tied for the MIAA lead with six goals in league play while playing forward and defense. The chemistry major also had one assist.
Holloway (Macatawa, Michigan / Holland Christian) chipped in one goal during MIAA play. This is her second All-MIAA honor.
Feenstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) ranked third in the MIAA with a 0.79 goals against average in league play.
