George Ismael Garcia, age 86, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
George was born in Laredo, TX to Luis and Guadalupe Garcia. He retired from BLD Products where he was purchasing manager. George was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and served in the United States Air Force.
Surviving is his wife, Frances of 58 years; children, Lisa and Steve Veele and Dina and Patrick Cunnington; grandchildren, Patrick Cunnington II and Amelia Cunnington; siblings, Arthur and Piedad Garcia, Thelma and Michael Castenda, Edward and Nilda Garcia, and Robert Garcia; in-laws, Eva and Guadalupe Martinez, Viola Valderas, and Ayda Duran; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A funeral mass with military honors will be 11 am Saturday (March 8) at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 152nd Avenue, with Father Michael Burt officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visiting will be 10-10:45, prior to the service, at the church.
Memorial may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
