WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 16, 2023) – There may be a happy ending to the story of a dog that was found with a bullet in his muzzle.
Earlier this month, an animal control deputy was dispatched to the area of 104th Avenue near Osborn Street in Robinson Township on a report of a malnourished dog in the vicinity of the Bass River Recreational Area. The brown-colored, mixed-breed canine was spotted with injuries to its face and jaw, and a subsequent surgery on Thursday revealed a bullet in its jaw that was successfully removed at the Harbor Humane Society. Jen Self-Algur is the animal shelter’s Executive Director.
The search continues for the dog’s owner, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
