HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 28, 2023) – More office space in downtown Holland, along with a new home for Lakeshore Advantage, could be a step closer to reality on Tuesday.
Holland’s Brownfield Authority is expected, in a morning meeting, to approve a request by the local business promotion group to tear down an existing building at the corner of East 7th Street and College Avenue and build a new three-story, approximately 15,000-square foot structure that would house a SURGE Business Incubator for assisting entrepreneurs, along with the Lakeshore Advantage’s office, and available new office space. The authority must sign off on the plan, since part of the land for the project is in the footprint of the Seventh Street Parking Deck that was constructed through Brownfield approval, and the entire proposal must also be approved through a public hearing and a vote by the Holland City Council.
The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately $10.6 million dollars.
