Hope College kicker Dylan Hillger has received all-region honors from D3football.com.
The senior from Holly, Michigan (Lake Fenton HS) is a second-team selection in Region 4 and one of three kickers chosen in the region.
D3football.com’s Region 4 includes the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the North Coast Athletic Conference, and the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Hillger set career-highs this season with nine made field goals, 39 PAT kicks, 66 points, 28 touchbacks on kickoffs and 62.6 yards per kickoff.
An All-MIAA First Team honoree, Hillger booted six field goals during league play, including a school-record 50-yarder against Adrian College at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.
The mechanical engineering major converted 19-of-20 PAT attempts during league games.
Hillger also averaged 62.6 yards on kickoff and recorded touchbacks in 17 of 32 attempts against MIAA .
“Dylan was so consistent this year and there was never a question that he would deliver in the red zone,” head coach Peter Stuursma said. “He has had an excellent career as a player and person within our program.”
