HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 4, 2022) – Most of the nation “falls back” on the clock this weekend.
At 2 AM on Sunday, all but two states – Arizona and Hawaii – as well as various American territories and commonwealths such as Samoa and Puerto Rico will end Daylight Savings Time and revert back to Standard Time. The end of DST on the first Sunday in November began in the US 15 years ago, thanks to legislation co-sponsored by Republican Congressman Fred Upton of St. Joseph. He defended his bill during a Tuesday appearance on “WHTC Morning News.”
DST returns on the second Sunday in March, but Upton won’t be on Capitol Hill to see it, as he is retiring at year’s end after 18 terms in the US House.
