HOLLAND TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 3, 2022) – The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council is hoping the third time is the charm in keeping an operational leader for the long term.
On Wednesday, the regional transportation planning entity of local governmental leaders announced the appointment of Jason Latham as its new executive director. He beat out Pat McGinnis in a final round of interviews in January, and replaces Tyler Kent, who left in August after 16 months.
Latham has more than three decades of road industry experience in both Michigan and Maryland, and most recently was the director of the Berrien County Road Department before leaving a year ago under circumstances that were not publicly disclosed at the time.
Both Kent and his immediate predecessor, Tim Burkman, left the MAAC for positions in Grand Rapids since Steve Bulthuis stepped down in 2018 after eight years as Executive Director for his current position as Holland Township Manager.
