Ruben Miranda, age 69, was born December 23, 1951 in Elsa, Texas and died on January 8, 2021 due to complications with COVID. He resided in Holland, Michigan and worked at Chris Craft boat manufacturing. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic church and participated in LAUP (formerly, LULAC).
He is proceeded in death by his wife of 37 years, Rosalinda Miranda; his mother, Manuela Anzaldua; two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his father, Baldomero Miranda; daughter, Glenda Miranda; son, Julian Miranda; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A jovial man, his smile and laughter were contiguous, he made everyone around him feel happy and special. He was often heard serenading the nurses. He enjoyed watching wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys, and listening to Tejano music. He will be missed by many.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Thursday (January 14), at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, with Father Charlie Brown officiating. Burial will be in Texas.
