PINE GROVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – What do you do with some pipe bombs you don’t want around?
Apparently that may have been the question south of the Allegan/Van Buren county line on Wednesday afternoon. Van Buren County Sheriff’s Deputies and other first responders were dispatched to County Road 388 at 23½ Street just before 4 PM on a report that a mower found three pipe bombs in a ditch near the intersection. A bomb squad from neighboring Berrien County was called in to disable and dispose the bombs safely, and there were no injuries reported.
No arrests were immediately made as the incident remains under investigation.
