HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Township resident Willie Thomas Riley, 31, has been arraigned on charges related to a shooting at a Holland Township apartment.
The 29-year-old woman is being treated at Spectrum Health Butterworth after being shot in the face Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Police said the suspect and victim had been in a relationship, which had ended before the shooting.
Riley was arrested after fleeing the scene, treated at Holland Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, then taken to Ottawa County Jail.
Riley was charged Friday at Holland’s 58th District Court with assault with intent to murder and felony firearms. Judge Susan Jonas ordered a $2 million dollar bond. He remains in Ottawa County Jail.
