CROCKERY TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Crockery Township crash sent one man to the hospital, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Buter.
The crash happened just after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon when, Buter said, Grand Haven resident Mathew Vinton, 39, failed to stop for a red light.at the intersection of M231 at M104.
His dump truck, loaded with asphalt and pulling a trailer carrying asphalt-rolling equipment, took a T-bone-style hit by a 3/4-ton truck driven by Todd Pilczuk, 46, of Nunica.
Vinton wasn’t hurt in the crash, but Pilczuk went to North Ottawa Community Hospital by ambulance for treatment of injuries, Buter said. Vinton was cited for failure to stop at a traffic light.
