HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place is getting into the restaurant business.
Beginning on Saturday, August 22nd, “Smoke’N Tulip” will provide lunch and dinner service on Wednesdays through Saturdays, when there isn’t an event occupying the municipally-owned, VenuWorks-operated facility. The decision for the Civic Center operators to get into the restaurant market in Holland was due, in part, to make up somewhat for lost revenue due to the pandemic and subsequent event cancellations.
It will be a smoked food-themed eatery, focusing on dishes mostly prepared through a smoking process, with the menu under the direction of the facility’s Executive Chef Jerramiah Chabitch.
Patrons can either dine in through the Community Atrium area at the main eastern entrance to the building, as well as the adjacent outside porch when weather conditions permit, with an opening capacity of 72 due to COVID 19 outbreak conditions. Alcoholic beverages will not be initially served, but that option will be under consideration for the future.
“Smoke’N Tulip” will be open from 11 AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesdays through Saturdays. More information, including the menu, is available here.
