HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — Holland police are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of the Check and Go store at 1111 S. Washington Ave. in Holland.
Ottawa County dispatchers received a call for help just after 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-6, medium-to-thin build, possibly in his 30s. He was last seen walking calmly north on S. Washington Avenue, according to police. He last seen wearing a black ski mask that covered his face, sunglasses, a U-of-M hoodie, and blue jeans. He showed a handgun, demanded cash escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
Holland Department of Public Safety spokesman Capt. Keith Mulder issued a statement with surveillance photos that indicated a Holland Police K-9 unit immediately responded to track the suspect and area schools were notified as a precautionary measure. No schools were put on lockdown.
