LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – November is the month motorists are most likely to have an accident with a deer.
A report from the Michigan Office of Highway Planning stated that, due to the annual mating season, and the number of hunters in the state, deer are moving more and more likely to leave an area and move across a road.
Motorists are reminded that if faced with a possible collision with a deer, to not swerve, but immediately brake firmly, hold the steering wheel, and come to a controlled stop.
Also remember that deer travel in herds, so where’s there one, there are most likely more.
