ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 11, 2024) – Charges are pending after a vehicle was spotted speeding and weaving in and out of traffic in the Allendale area on Wednesday afternoon.
Several motorists called 911 to complain about a white jeep heading eastbound on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) near 104th Avenue around 2:45 PM. The callers said that the vehicle was not only speeding and weaving around slower vehicles, but it had also struck a garbage can. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the vehicle in question, and after a short pursuit, were able to pull the driver over in the area of 64th Avenue and Fillmore Street, where the suspect was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported, and no names or other identification was immediately disclosed, as the matter remains under investigation.
