ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 6, 2024) – The fourth and final local fair along the Lakeshore for 2024 kicks off of Friday.
A performance by rapper Ludacris highlights the opening night of the 172nd Allegan County Fair, but the day begins with 4-H displays and shows, along with a 3 PM commencement of the carnival rides. Saree Miller is the fair’s executive director.
Other featured attractions include concerts by Third Eye Blind, Jamey Johnson and Oliver Anthony, demolition derbies, the Flying Star Rodeo, truck and tractor pulls, and more. However, the youth agricultural displays are the backbone of this and other local fairs.
More than 300,000 are expected to attend the Allegan County Fair through next Saturday, September 14th. Good attendance was also reported by officials of the Berlin Fair in Marne in June, the Ottawa County Fair in Park Township in July, and the Hudsonville Community Fair last month.
