Scott Alan Haverdink, age 65, of Holland, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home.
Scott was a passionate fan of the Detroit Tigers and especially of the U of M football team. He found solace in the great outdoors, enjoying camping, boating, fishing, and hunting.
A dedicated servant to his community, Scott wore many hats throughout his career, including roles as a Paramedic, Firefighter, and Victim Services Advocate with the Holland Police Department. He took pride in his multifaceted work, which included CPR training and management roles at Waverly Shores Village of Holland as well as greeter at Meijer.
Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, he was the proud father of son, Kyle Haverdink. From the young age of 5, Kyle began his love of motorcross racing with his father by his side. He was his constant cheerleader from the stands during the last several years.
Scott was also a loving husband and partner to Bonnie Nienhuis for 5 years. He is the son of Dale (deceased) and Donna Haverdink; brother of Jeff Haverdink and Rhonda Benavides. The Best Grandpa to Corrine, Taylor, and Kaden Solomon; Alexis and Paige Miller; Landon and Harper Nienhuis; Joshua and Elijah Slawinski
