Sandra Schuitema, age 82 of Grand Haven, formerly of Holland passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
She is survived by her children: Ed and Patti Schuitema, Karen and Craig Vander Heide, and Scott and Ronald Schuitema; her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Erica Marie Schuitema (Maverick and Noah), Amy Nicole Mc Williams (Liam); and Garrett Vander Heide; and her sisters-in-law: Bonnie Schuitema and Clover Alderink.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Lee Schuitema on October 3, 2023, her parents Faye Vivian and Mike Volkers, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Edwin and Edna Schuitema.
Sandra worked at West Ottawa Schools and then she worked at Ottawa County Mental Health where she was a special needs aid. She was active in the international level of 4H, she was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader and enjoyed racing horses in the Gym Khana Speed Shows.
A time of visitation will be from 1-3 pm Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Health Hospice. www.yntemafh.com
