LANSING, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – As it is now officially spring, it is also now officially storm season in Michigan.
On Wednesday afternoon at 1, emergency sirens will wail, and the Michigan State Police will be activating Emergency Alert Systems at media outlets throughout the state, in a tornado drill aimed at raising awareness of the dangers that spring storms can bring. According to State Police Inspector Michelle Sosinski, the lessons of the twister that tore through the Gaylord area 10 months ago are still fresh enough to remember.
