HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 19, 2023) – What should one of Holland’s anchor neighborhoods look like in the future?
That’s the focus of Thursday’s workshop in which the staffers from the city’s Community and Neighborhood Services Department will join with members of the Washington Square Business Improvement District Board in holding a hearing session about the future of the area around Washington Avenue between West 18th and 19th streets. According to a city statement, the workshop will look for input from residents and stakeholders on what they love about the neighborhood, what could be improved, and how they would like the square vicinity to look and feel in the future.
It’s part of the city’s 2023 Master Plan Update, and the feedback will be used to help develop a vision, a set of guiding principles, some potential design concepts, and an implementation plan over the next several weeks. The 6 PM workshop at the PAX Co-Working Studio (453 Washington Ave.) is open to the public.
The Minit Mart should go back to being a regular grocery store rather than an upscale liquor store.
