HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 8, 2023) – For the second time in as many weeks, an apartment complex in the Holland area heard the sound of gunfire.
However, as Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Nicholas Knott said in a department statement, the incident around 12:45 AM on Wednesday in the parking lot of River Club Apartments off of Adams Street and 96th Avenue east of Holland saw no persons injured.
“An investigation on the scene revealed that an altercation took place in the parking lot and multiple shots were fired,” Knott explained. “Several of those shots struck one of the apartment units in the complex, and it is not believed that the unit was the intended target.”
No suspects were immediately apprehended, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
Last Friday, a Covert man died from gunshot wounds while in a parked vehicle outside of an apartment complex in the Holland Heights neighborhood, and a suburban Atlanta man is in custody and facing open murder charges in the incident.
