He met the love of his life at the beach the first summer out of the Army. He and Karen Ende married in 1959 and would eventually raise two children. Very much a family man he attended as many school activities as he could. And he even drove a school bus for West Ottawa. Harold and Karen have always loved to travel and found in their retirement years that it was Gulf Shores, Alabama that captured their hearts. He was an avid golfer, and so enjoyed his coffee friends. For the past 15 years, he has worked at Crown Motors doing dealer trades.
Faith was a big part of Harold’s life, and he served several stints as Deacon, and Elder at Trinity Reformed Church in Holland. He and Karen loved to follow Christian Music and often attended the Bill Gaither Praise Gatherings, and the Nat’l Quartet Conventions.
