JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An 18-year-old West Olive woman was hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash south of Hudsonville during the overnight hours on Thursday.
No names were disclosed in a statement by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, who was among the first responders dispatched to the area of Byron Road near 8th Avenue just before 4 AM. It appeared that a car had become disabled along the side of the roadway, with the woman and a 22-year-old Grandville woman sitting inside, waiting for assistance, when another sedan came up from behind and rammed the disabled automobile.
The victim was taken to an undisclosed “local” hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, while the other woman and the other driver involved, a 31-year-old Muskegon man, were not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
