HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland police officers responded to a call for help after two men argued and one allegedly pulled a gun on the other, at a house on the 400 block of 20th Street just before 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020.
No shots were fired and no one was hurt, according to Holland Police Capt. Bob Buursma.
Investigators learned a 25-year-old woman and her 23-year-old boyfriend, both of Fennville, had stopped at the woman’s 28-year-old ex-boyfriend’s home on the 400 block of 20th Street.
As the two men argued, the boyfriend allegedly pulled the gun on the ex-boyfriend. Then the woman and the suspected gunman then left in their vehicle.
Police stopped their vehicle in Fennville and learned the man has a lawfully owned firearm. He was taken into custody on suspicion of felonious assault.
His name is being withheld, pending arraignment. Michigan State Police and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the Fennville traffic stop.
This incident is not related to any of the other recent incidents in Holland City, police said.
