HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Healthy Allegan County Coalition is looking for area residents to join an effort for healtier practices across the county.
HACC is a public and private alliance of organizations and individuals working together to help ensure all Allegan County community members have access to affordable, quality health services. Recently, HACC has collaborated with the Allegan County Health Department and Allegan County United Way to launch a new website and publish the 2019 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
With HACC’s new website, residents and community partners can find area resources related to priority areas, progress made towards county goals, and community health data. Community members are also able to share their work; a story about their health journey, a plan their organization has towards health outcomes, and community events associated with access to care and diet and exercise.
“There is a lot of great resources and work being done locally, said Allegan County Health Officer Angelique Joynes, in a statement emailed to media. “We want to make it easy for residents to share and/or find resources. We are excited for this new website for community members to share their health challenges, wins, and gain new health information to improve our community’s well being.”
The HACC is relaunching and invites area residents to join efforts for a healthier Allegan County.
The next HACC meeting is set for 2-3:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at the AAESA Education Service Center, 310 Thomas St. in Allegan. All are welcome to attend.
