CEDAR CREEK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 3, 2026) – A 22-year-old Conklin man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash near Twin Lake during the overnight hours on Thursday morning.
According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office, Isaiah Kooiman was driving a pickup truck shortly after 12 Midnight along East River Road, between Ewing and Holton-Duck Lake roads, when it apparently went too fast in attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Deputies say the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over several times. First responders found him inside of the pickup’s cab, and attempts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful.
The incident remains under investigation.
