HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Governor Rick Snyder has several stops in West Michigan before he heads to the Tulip Time Festival Luncheon in Holland Wednesday.
Snyder will be in Gaines Township today to visit the new Switch data center for a tour this morning. Switch now occupies the former Steelcase pyramid and stores data for companies like DreamWorks Animation and eBay. The company plans to create one-thousand permanent jobs by 2025.
At the luncheon in addition to Governor Snyder and Lt. Governor Calley, other special guests this year include, the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Consulate General of Japan, Consul General of China, and several State level legislators and officials. Following the luncheon, Governor Snyder, joined by several other dignitaries, will be participating in the Metal Flow Volksparade.
The over 900 expected luncheon attendees have traditionally been a mix of Tulip Time corporate sponsors, local business leaders, and State Legislators.
You can claim your spot starting at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The City of Holland reminds residents and visitors that anything placed before 6 a.m. or left after the parade is over will be removed by city staff.
