HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A family who lost their daughter unexpectedly in 2013 has teamed up with Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity for their third Scramblin’ for Charity Golf Outing.
Kelly Markatos was an intern for Lakeshore Habitat in the summer of 2013 and passed away unexpectedly after returning to Central Michigan University for the fall semester. The Scramblin’ for Charity Gold Outing was born when her parents John and Lori, wanted to carry on her legacy of love for others.
Funds raised from the event will got to a third Habitat home for a family in need in Ottawa and Allegan County. The charity golf outing takes place at The Ravines Golf Club in Saugatuck on Friday, July 15, 2016. Registration and breakfast is at 7 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. A catered lunch, raffle prizes, and awards will begin at 2 p.m.
Pre-registration is required and if you register on or before May 20th, the cost is $125 per person, $150 after the 20th of May.
Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit Christian organization in Holland, Michigan with a mission to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. Lakeshore Habitat’s core competency is building and restoring houses which requires partnerships with organizations, churches, businesses and individuals.
