HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 46-year-old Holland man succumbed to critical injuries in a crash involving his motorcycle and another vehicle during the Wednesday morning commute.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies, Juan Teo was northbound on 136th Avenue and was attempting to cross James Street on a green light when the vehicle of 43-year-old Cruz Dimas-Rendon of Holland turned left in front of him. Teo, who was helmeted, was initially taken to Holland Hospital, but then was transferred to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital, where he died of head and leg injures.
Visitation for Teo is from 6-8 PM on Friday, with a funeral service at 1 PM on Saturday, both at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home off of East 16th Street in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
Dimas-Rendon, who wasn’t hurt, was ticketed for failing to yield right-of-way. The crash remains under investigation.
