HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) – Two men who wanted the same job in August have apparently buried any political hatchets they may have had on each other.
Chris Wirth, one of four who were vying in the Primary Election for the Ottawa County Circuit Court seat that Ed Post is retiring from at year’s end, threw his support for Dan Martin for the General Election in a ceremony at a Hudsonville horse farm that Wirth’s wife owns. Wirth finished third behind Martin and Primary Winner Karen Miedema, who garnered nearly 32 percent of the vote in the five-candidate field, while Martin and Wirth combined had 31.1 percent.
Miedema and Martin face each other in the November 8th election.
