HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – When Habitat for Humanity of Michigan held it’s annual Affiliates in Motion conference and awards banquet in Lansing, the Lakeshore’s Habitat for Humanity honored a Holland man as their Volunteer of the Year for 2015.
Thomas Reagan was selected because of his advanced work and consistant volunteer support in new home construction projects. Reagan completed 400 volunteer hours for Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity in 2015 and worked on 5 home construction projects.
“I’ve been given a gift by Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity. They have selected me as volunteer of the year for 2015. I didn’t get there on my own. It has involved so many other wonderful, deserving people, all of whom are responsible for putting me on this humbling pedestal. To all of those involved with my past association in Montcalm County, and now in this Lakeshore organization, I am deeply indebted for your encouragement and willingness in allowing me the opportunity to do what I do.” said Reagan.
Over 28 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity honored volunteers and each of the 65 affiliates including the Lakeshore has given an awards package choice to Reagan to attend either Habitat on the Hill in Washington D.C. or the Habitat for Humanity International Affiliate Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
