ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – There was another apparent “swatting” incident involving a Lakeshore school district, as Allendale High School was locked down for about an hour yesterday afternoon following a bomb threat called into Ottawa County Central dispatch. It had the same pattern as other such prank calls to Coopersville and neighboring districts this school year, but authorities didn’t take any chances, following through with established protocol as search teams failed to find any explosives. A former Coopersville student was arrested in connection with the earlier incident, but no callers have been captured, and it is believed that the perpetrators may be from another state or another country. Tips to Silent Observer are welcome.
