HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – After last year’s trial period had a generally favorable public response, seasonal overnight street parking in Holland may become permanent. City Council will take up on first reading tonight an ordinance amendment making such parking on most streets available on an annual basis from May 15th through October 15th. Proponents say that this would alleviate parking on residential lawns; opponents cite various safety concerns. A final vote on the matter could come in two weeks.
