UNDATED (WHTC)-Both the Ottawa County Road Commission and the City of Holland’s road salt supply seem to be in good shape for the rest of the snowy season. Helping the stockpile was a mild December, with the least amount of snowfall ever recorded in Ottawa County-less than an inch. Rock salt use is down 40 percent compared to last years usage. Record setting snowfall pushed road salt inventories to limit in all of the lake shore municipalities. Availability of salt and sand continue to be prevalent for the remainder of the winter
