GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – A January 7th trial date in Ottawa County Circuit Court has been set for a 59-year-old Holland man on armed robbery charges stemming from the broad daylight holdup of the East 16th Street Meijer store last month. Cornelius Cook-Bey remains in the Ottawa County Jail on 100 thousand dollars bond after his arrest at a nearby home on September 18th. Cook-Bey’s features, along with the manner in which he allegedly committed the crime at that store, match those in similar incidents over an 11-day span at a bank and a convenience store in the same area, although he hasn’t been charged in those crimes.
