HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 57-year-old Holland man has been arraigned on felonious assault charges following a Monday morning stabbing on a Macatawa Area Express fixed route bus near the Hope College campus. Public Safety officers were called to the area around East 13th Street and Columbia Avenue after Kris Alexander got off of the bus and started walking westbound. He was apprehended without incident by a police canine unit about a block away. The victim, an unnamed 36-year-old Holland man who was known to the suspect, was taken to Holland Hospital with a non-life threatening slash to his arm. No other passengers on the bus were threatened, and the incident didn’t involve or have any impact on Hope College students or activities. Alexander remains held on 10 thousand dollars bond.
