WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – A suspect is being sought in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries spread across Allendale and Jenison last week. A burned out vehicle in Jenison turned out to be involved in the crime spree that included more than two dozen unlocked vehicles broken into and tens of thousands of dollars of property stolen, including two handguns. Evidence led investigators to obtain a two-county felony warrant against 18-year-old Emilio Melton, who remains at large and is believed to be in the Grand Rapids area. Detectives say that more suspects are involved and more arrests are expected. Any tips to Silent Observer are welcome.
