HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A swath of graffiti spotted around Holland’s north Central Avenue area is “not likely gang related,” according to Holland Public Safety Department.
Holland Police Captain Jack Dykstra told WHTC in an email late Thursday that the symbols and letters are more “anti establishment” than gang language.
Dykstra said the “K” added to the letters ISIS stands for “killer” and indicates an anti-ISIS statement.
Several buildings along north Central Avenue were tagged, as well as a vehicle in the parking lot at Midwest Communications’ building, WHTC’s home.
Property damages are expected to total more than $1,000, Dykstra said, pushing the crime into the felony zone.
